# Microsoft Teams webhook integration update - May 2026

PowerTable supports configuring webhooks to send notifications to Microsoft Teams channels for [approvals](/explore-powertable/approval-flow/setting-additional-notification-via-ms-teams.md) and [automation](/explore-powertable/automation/ms-teams-notifications.md).

In May 2026, Microsoft completed the retirement of **Office 365 Connectors** in **Microsoft Teams**. After the retirement, connector-based webhooks no longer work. Microsoft recommends migrating these integrations to **Workflows**, which support incoming webhooks for posting messages to Teams channels.

### **Migrate existing Teams webhook configurations**

Existing PowerTable webhook configurations that use a retired Teams connector no longer work.

To continue receiving notifications, create a **Workflow** in Teams with an incoming webhook trigger, and then use the generated webhook URL as the **Post URL** in PowerTable.

For more information, see [Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams](https://devblogs.microsoft.com/microsoft365dev/retirement-of-office-365-connectors-within-microsoft-teams/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

### **Configuring new Teams webhook integrations**

For new Teams channel integrations, create a **Workflow** in Teams with an incoming webhook trigger. Microsoft provides webhook templates that let you select the **Team** and **Channel**, create the workflow, and copy the generated webhook URL. Use this URL as the **Post URL** in PowerTable.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.powertable.com/explore-powertable/product-updates-release-notes/microsoft-teams-webhook-integration-update-may-2026.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
