# Column Insights

The Insights option displays an overview of column values, allowing you to quickly extract key information and insights from column measures and make informed decisions.

Assume you are working with a large dataset and need to review any column to determine the number of missing or unique entries or perform a simple categorization analysis. You may want to find the earliest and latest dates in your data, or you may need to calculate the column data's range, average, median, or standard deviation.

The Insights option allows you to perform all of these tasks more efficiently while gathering useful insights.

Here are some details you can get:

* Sum
* Average
* Median
* Minimum value, maximum value and range
* Standard deviation
* Number of empty entries/percentage of empty entries
* Number of filled-in entries/percentage of filled-in entries
* Number of unique entries/percentage of unique entries
* Earliest and the most recent date in a date column
* Date range in days or months

In the example below, we have applied the 'Insights' option to a few columns.
