Before you set up PowerTable, you must ensure you meet the prerequisites outlined below. Reach out to your Fabric administrator for further assistance.
Microsoft Office 365 credentials: PowerTable is a native Microsoft Fabric workload, so you require your Microsoft O365 credentials to log in.
Tenant Access: Ensure you’re connected to your organization's tenant.
Paid or trial Fabric capacity: Ensure your workspace is on a paid or trial Fabric capacity.
Workload Settings: Capacity admins and users with relevant permissions can add Fabric workloads and make them available either to the entire tenant or to a specific capacity. Ensure that users who want to add and use workloads are granted necessary permissions by a Fabric admin.
Access to Workspace: Ensure that you have the necessary access permissions (Admin or Member access) to relevant workspaces so you can create PowerTable apps and workspace items.
Ensure that the following resource providers are registered in your Azure subscription:
Microsoft.Storage
Microsoft.Sql
Access to databases/warehouses: Ensure you have access to the necessary data platform, database, lakehouse, or warehouse.
Whitelist IP addresses in Azure SQL firewall rules: Network firewalls block connections from IP addresses that do not have permissions. You need to whitelist PowerTable's outbound IPs in your Azure SQL database firewall rules.
If you encounter any challenges in setting up the PowerTable workload, do not hesitate to reach out to us at our PowerTable Community. We understand the product is just under Public Preview, and we are keen to get you started at the earliest.
