What's New in PowerTable - July 2025
We're excited to share the latest updates and enhancements to our product since our initial public preview.
Thank you for your interest and feedback on PowerTable, which inspire us to continually innovate our product. We would like to inform you that these updates are being added to our documentation on an ongoing basis. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our community.
Here's what's new and improved:
New
Hierarchy Layout: Hierarchy layout is available for structured and multilevel data representation. Organize your table data in the form of hierarchies for better data organization and analysis. You can quickly switch between the table and hierarchy layouts within PowerTable.
Master-Detail Tables (Parent-Child Linked Records): Introducing the master-detail tables feature, which enables the linking of related child records from other tables to a single record in the master or parent table. Organizing your data this way improves data integrity, reduces redundancy, and allows for easier data management and reporting.
Import Data from OneDrive and OneLake: In addition to Excel and CSV, you can now import data from OneDrive and the Microsoft OneLake data hub.
OneDrive and OneLake Integration in Automation: PowerTable automation now supports OneDrive and OneLake integrations for directly syncing files and delta tables based on configured triggers.
Add Formula Columns to the Source Database: Formula columns can now be added at both the visual and database levels—this allows you to include them directly in the database. Previously, you could add formula columns only at the visual level.
Export to Excel Support: Export your PowerTable data to Excel with a single click using our 'Export to Excel' functionality.
Negative Values, Scale Format, and Percentage Support: PowerTable now allows negative numbers, scale formatting (k for thousand, m for million), and percentage values in the number and decimal columns.
New Column Types Included: You can now include the following column types in your table: ratings, currency, phone numbers, toggle buttons, and link buttons that either direct to a URL or initiate automation.
Data Residency Compliance for the EU Region: PowerTable is now compliant with data residency regulations in the EU region in accordance with GDPR guidelines.
Add new single-select options dynamically: Not seeing the desired option in the single-select menu? Create them on the go by typing directly into the dropdown column.
Top N filter: In addition to basic and advanced filters, there is now a top N filtering option available.
Multi-sort: PowerTable supports the multi-sort feature, which allows you to sort data by multiple columns sequentially, allowing for a more refined data organization than single-column sorting. Specify the column order to sort by, and PowerTable will sort the data one level at a time.
Enhancements
Automation UI—Enhanced: To provide a better user experience, we have improved the user interface of the automation module.
Another PowerTable template to explore: The 'Explore PowerTable' menu on the home page now includes an additional template—the asset management template—for you to explore and gain insights into using PowerTable for asset management use cases.
Improved Forms UI: The Forms UI has been improved for easier creation and management.
Other Optimizations
PowerTable can seamlessly load up to 1 billion records into your table app.
Lookup column now supports up to one million lookup records.
